DRA Living looks forward to helping you make your dream home a reality! With more than 30 years industry experience, we look forward to helping you find, design, finance, and move into your new Systems-Built Home. We will help you design your custom modular home and find the perfect location to place it on (or we can place it on land you already own). In addition, we will manage construction, installation, permits, inspections and loan closing.

Our homes are built better, faster and stronger than traditional on-site construction homes. We also offer many green options including completely Solar Homes. We represent four of the area’s top modular manufacturers and our homes are systems-built in a controlled environment in their state-of-the-art factories. This means that missing materials and weather delays are never a factor. This also results in less waste and better utilization of materials. The result? A home that is well constructed, energy efficient and ready to occupy in 90 to 120 days versus six months to a year.

Our process is as unique and individual as our customers are. In some cases, our customers already have land, and in some cases we help them find land in one of our developments or elsewhere. We have started our building process as informally as beginning with a sketch on a napkin, or we are happy to help you find one of our existing plans from the hundreds we have to choose from. In addition, we can use an existing site built floor plan as a starting point and go from there.

Once the land and plans have been finalized, the construction begins. One of the reasons that the modular building process is so efficient and fast is because we can have several components of the home construction occurring at the same time. While the land is prepped and graded and the foundation is poured, construction of the home begins in the factory. This saves a considerable amount of time as there is no need to wait for one process to begin while the other is completed.

Once the foundation and land and home are ready, it is time for the home set to begin. On the day of the set, the home pods (different sections of the homes) arrive on carriers at the home site. Using a crane, each pod is carefully set in the correct position. Once all of the pods are set, the roof is raised and the home is then sealed together and “dryed-in” all in one day. It is a process that really needs to be seen to be believed!

Once the home is completed and set, then the finishing work such as installation of custom flooring, countertops, exterior siding and other similar work begins. This is also the time when electricity, plumbing and other utilities are hooked up. After all of the finishing work has been completed, the home is then inspected and ready for move in.

Throughout the whole process, DRA Living will work to manage every aspect of your home’s construction so you can rest assured that your home will be completed as promised and will hopefully exceed your expectations. We are only happy when are customers are happy and will not rest until the job is completed to perfection!
